Kindergarten worksheets are often of much value in helping kindergarten children learn and re-inforce basic concepts in an interesting way. Small children usually like to do things rather than just read or listen. They also get bored rather easily. Therefore giving them well-designed, illustrated worksheets to do makes it easier and more fun for them to learn. Completing a worksheet also gives a child a great sense of fulfillment. In fact, not just for kindergarten, but even for older learners worksheets can form a valuable part of the learning process.
While worksheets for homeschool can assist in home schooling, they cannot take the place of a proper homeschool curriculum. One disadvantage they have is that they often focus on one subject area only, without integrating the whole curriculum. They can also be simplistic and give the impression that the student understands more than he actually does.

If you are trying to develop a curriculum for your home-schooled child, you may be able to save a lot of time and money by using free online home school worksheets. However, while they can be a helpful tool and seem like an attractive alternative to a homeschool, they do have a number of limitations.

The children get expertise by practicing over with these worksheets and learn the control of hand muscles for writing and follow the pattern of writing, which is helpful for them for their whole life. Care should be taken to give children worksheets that they are capable of doing. This involves understanding and monitoring the child continually, since the level of attainment of different children would often be quite different. The worksheet should challenge the child but not overwhelm her. If the worksheet is too easy or too repetitive, it may bore the child and she would not be happy. If the activity is too difficult it would frustrate her and she would not like to take up more sheets.
By the age of three, your child is ready to move onto mathematics worksheets. This does not mean that you should stop playing counting and number games with your child; it just adds another tool to your toolbox. Worksheets help to bring some structure into a child`s education using a systematic teaching method, particularly important with math, which follows a natural progression.
